Explosion Rocks Lagos Beer Parlour

An explosion has been reported at a locked beer parlour along L & K Road, Oworonsoki in Lagos. The explosion occurred this afternoon at the locked beer parlour. Four people, including a girl, were injured‎ and have been rushed to Afolabi Hospital for treatment, according to the National Emergency Management Agency.

22yr old Nigerian student Matthew Ajibade, (pictured right) died in police custody after he was kicked and beaten by police during a booking process where he was said to be combative and fought back. (read previous story here). And last week, during a trial of the case, shocking footage taken inside the Georgia jail where Matthew was booked showed him being kicked and punched in the head during the fight with police officer. He was left alone in restraints for an hour-and-a-half after the violence, at which point he was found dead. See the photos after the cut...

BREAKING: Nigerian Air Force Plane Crashed in yola

a Nigerian Air Force Plane crashed in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, in the northeast region of Nigeria yesterday. Colonel Rabe Abubakar, the Director of Defense Information for the Nigerian Armed Forces, confirmed the plane crash to Reporters citing that the cause was likely poor weather. The identities of those on board have not been disclosed yet.
